How to Play Township: Creating Your Dream Town or City

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is your town or city in Township. You start your game with some land that you can use for your quaint cottage and wheat crops. When your crops are ready to be harvested, you can sell them for a profit. Just continue growing and harvesting your farm. Eventually, you will level up and gain access to more buildings such as the Cowshed, Chicken coop, and Sheep farm.

New buildings allow you to store and ship out more goods. Doing so will earn you more in-game currency that can be used to purchase more resources. Eventually, you can build factories that will help you churn out more crops and produce other goods that will exponentially grow your income.

Balancing Your Workforce & Structures

Once you’ve reached a certain level by completing tasks, you can start investing in building more structures to either attract more citizens or businesses to ramp up your revenue generation. Throughout these sections of the game, you have to be mindful of where you’re spending your resources on.

To have functional farms and factories, make sure you have enough workers who would tend to crops and the overall production process. Striking a balance between your income-generating activities and your workforce is essential to get the most out of your investments and maintain worker efficiency at the same time.

Build the City Hall as Soon as You Can

Once you’ve garnered enough resources, try to create a City Hall as soon as you can. The City Hall can be unlocked once you reach level 6, and it houses valuable information about your town’s status. For example, it records your current town level, co-op name, goods that your town has produced, and which towns you’ve sent these goods to.

As you build more structures such as airports, train stations, and zoos, the City Hall also records the number of planes you have sent and how many helicopter orders you’ve received. That’s on top of the number of trains, ships, and zoo animals that you currently have in town. It also tracks how deep your mine is—if you have one.

Moreover, the City Hall records the achievements that you accomplish so far. Doing so would earn you some nifty rewards, and you can see how far your town has developed by just looking at your City Hall. Whenever you have completed around five to ten achievements, the City Hall will grow a couple of stories. Once you’ve accomplished the 85th achievement, your City Hall will get a golden cupola on top to signify that you have completed such a wonderful feat!
